US OPEN 2024 COACH'S APP

HAS THREE DIFFERENT TOOLS: 

  • Pre-match comparison​

  • Live app during matches

  • Browser view for after match and creation of the report

(For pre-match comparison and the browser view, coaches will access through Coach's Open Vision.)

US Open 2024 Coach's App - the live version and browser view - provide three layers of detail with the top and bottom sections always remaining the same.

The three sections include:

  • Top: scoreboard + match statistics (level 1 and 2)

  • Middle: live player and ball tracking with key stats (level 3) (customized)

  • Bottom: point trail with video, ability to replay any point and create a playlist

​

The MIDDLE section of each screen is tailored to three performance categories (Serve, Return, In Play) and allows a coach to set custom filters to further evaluate a player’s performance.

 

For the middle sections, US Open 2024 Coach's App displays intuitive tennis court visuals that make it easy for a coach to analyze a player’s performance.

FOUR PERFORMANCE CATEGORY EXAMPLES

​​​A single screen offering a tennis court view that illustrates a player’s serve tendencies and winning percentage.

1. SERVE PERFORMANCE

Serve Performance user interface offers a coach the ability to filter the data:

​

  • Serves location by deuce-ad courts and body, wide, center

    • Ball bounces plotting

  • Serves in and out

  • 1st serve or 2nd serve

  • Break points, 30-30, 40-40, or all points

  • Won and lost

  • By set or cumulative

2. RETURN PERFORMANCE

A coach can filter and view the following:

  • By player

  • Receiver’s contact zone deuce and /or ad courts (showing distances inside the court or behind the baselines)

    • Contact ball plotting

  • Target zone (A, B, C and D)

    • Ball bounces plotting

  • Break points, 30-30, 40-40, or all points

  • Won and lost

  • 1st serve or 2nd serve returns

  • Deuce or ad courts

  • Stroke – forehand or backhand

  • By set or cumulative

US Open 2024 Coach's App delivers, via a tennis court visual aid, the ability for a coach to analyze:

  • the contact zone,

  • target zone and

  • frequencies of the return

    • including returns in play,

    • return in play%

    • return points won% 

    • deep returns 

3. IN-PLAY PERFORMANCE

​A single screen offers a tennis court view that illustrates a player’s tendencies from contact zone to target zones.

A coach will have the ability to filter and view the following:

  • By player

  • Player’s contact zones A, B, C, and D (showing distances inside the court or behind the baselines)

    • Contact ball plotting

  • Target zones (A, B, C and D) with frequencies, in play %, and winning %

    • Ball bounces plotting

  • Break points, 30-30, 40-40, or all points

  • Won and lost

  • Deuce or ad courts

  • Stroke – forehand or backhand

  • By set or cumulative

​Coaches can access the browser view of the app through Open Vision to generate reports in two different ways:
 

  • Individual Tab Report: A coach can generate a report for any specific tab by navigating to the desired performance, applying the necessary filters, and clicking "Generate PDF". This will produce a PDF of that tab, including the selected filters and the corresponding points from the point trail, along with a playlist for in-depth analysis.

  • Comprehensive Match Report: To create a report with all three tabs, a coach can go to TAB 4, "Match Report". Here, they can customize the report by selecting the desired filters, just as they would for an individual tab. This comprehensive report will include all point trails, regardless of the filters applied.
